It’s not hard to say that vodka is one of the drunkest Spirits all around the world, but in time, it has appeared the need to reinvent it in order to increase the sales. Following that trend flavored vodkas have appeared strongly, among which caramel vodka stands out above the rest.
The firsts Caramel Vodkas were not made in Russia, or Poland, not even France or the USA (to say the major producers of this spirit), but in Spain. Bardinet produced the very first one: Gecko Caramel Vodka. Its creator was looking for something new, in a market where all the people knew exactly what to look for with rums and whiskeys, but not vodka. So by mixing it with caramel and vanilla flavors they develop a spirit that had almost nothing in common with its original version. It’s sweet, creamy and very smooth at the palate, the caramel aroma is strong but in mouth it’s not so cloying.
Caramel Vodka is very versatile, and gives you multiple options to combine in a lot of cocktails: with your favorite fruit juice, with soda or another spirits (it suits really nice with Gin or a good Whisky).
Drink it very cold in a shot glass, and enjoy the sweet taste of a different spirit!!
